I put this motherboard in my old pc as my m2n motherboard was getting cranky and kept dropping data from my discs when downloading but once i put this M4A77T motherboard in the case is was like wow this is so easy to set up it was up and running in less than 60min and all i had to do was install the driver's and OS and job done it far surpast my old motherboard in benchmarks and played all my old games that had been on low settings on the old pc in high to ultra high settings it does not like crysis though for some reason but i have found a work around by putting the game on one chip and the sound on the other i works fine don't know why this is but it plays fine know. If you need a little more speed it's easy with this board just click the little button on the front of your case or which ever you deside you wish to use and it selects the settings you set during setup for an overclock automaticly and is stable and quiet you do have to be carefull though go to far and even the fallback by the motherboard can't save your chip as i found out to my cost the board was fine but the chip was toast it just was not cooled enough by the water cooling in my case so i upgraded that and it's as sweet as a nut 3ghz from a 2.3 ghz chip and if you fit a black edition chip well your going to be impressed it can play any game you throw at it with ease with one of those babies in the slot. If you are into surfing the web well the gigabit lan is easy to set up and just needs to be connected to your hub and away you go. As for Ram 16gig of overclocked ddr1800 or ddr1600 and your pc will crunch numbers like they are soft cheese and with the benefit of asus core unlocker you might even get an extra core for free from your chip just use the utility and unlock that extra core or even two in some cases and bang super pc perfomance for free good job asus.You also get onboard 7.1 sound compliments of the 8channel sound card built into this board which is crisp and clear even with badly recorded music very deep bass and even works with 2.1 channel speakers well enough to play games with great sound effects and clear voices. If you want a motherboard with the bells and whistles of boards twice the price then this is a good all rounder to start with without breaking the bank have fun

I bought this MoBo to build new machine with a AMD quad-core for my son. It's been several years since I've built a machine so I was a bit worried I had fallen behind technically. No worries! The board went right in an hooked up as advertized. Step by step instuctions takes you right through the process. When hooking up the computer cases leads, I had a question. But I took the most logical route and thats all she needed. I don't overclock but this MoBo is ready to rock.
installed 4 sticks of memory, and upon start-up the machine didn't pick up the second bank. Usually this is a problem in seating the memory sticks fully. So I turned it off and yanked them out and reinstalled them with a bit more precision and vigor. Restarted the computer and they were recognized. You'd think that we'd be able to design memory slots that work the first time you use them. Oh well--no harm no foul. Works like a champ.
This is a great board to build your first machine with. Only thing they could have made better for someone doing their first build would be an on-board video, but the MoBo took my video card and voila--there was Light!!
Overall, a very nice MoBo--well worth the price.
