I bought this adapter after my Belkin N1 USB adapter continued to fail and lose connection for 30-50 minutes at a time. Plugged 1 adapter into my router which is in my bedroom. Plugged second adapter into living which is separated by 40 feet and cement walls. It has worked perfectly since day 1. This is a very good investment for those with multiple laptop and desktop users who are connected to a wireless router. It gives much better service then any wireless card and can be used almost anywhere you have an outlet. If you have more then 1 person in a room, get the next model up which comes with a 3-4 port hub over the single plug in on the second adapter. It is worth it. Even if you are wired.
