We bought this last summer to take with us on family camping trips and have never been disappointed. The rubber-edged case and sturdy construction of the Casio SY-30 feels right. The viewing screen is quite large and bright enough for easy viewing and the telescoping antennae draws in outlying tv stations very well. Battery life is much better than I'd expected. The only drawback to this set is the fact that it scans for accessible stations every time it is turned on. It takes very little time but it is a minor annoyance.
This has turned out to be just what we were looking for and we have never regretted our purchase. It's a great little TV at a very, very affordable price. If it went in the lake today, I'd buy another tomorrow.

Overall I like the portability of the product and the ruggedness. I would recommed to get an adapter to save on battery whenever possible. Pictures quality is very good. With the digital TVs signals you may need a digital convertar and a digital antenna to make it work to get DTV.
