That was exactly what I need as a man who was sick ****** the sound quality on my laptop (an ordinary Realtek sound card 16-bit), but got Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook sound card prices versatility and power the Audigy 2 cards. Music sounds pretty phenomenal on low and medium-sized headphones (Grado SR-60, Sennheiser PX-200). Does the job for 5.1 surround sound for DVD-ROMs and video games. SPDIF optical output for 5.1 surround is not a real digital 5.1, but it is not really affected my enjoyment of the map.

Analog or coaxial digital output with bulky cards are connected directly to the computer. If you have a cheap computer, since I (Averatec 6210) the capacity of the PC card will not be enough to enjoy all the features of the sound card, but it is only a problem if you need THX Setup bit-perfect output, advanced atmospheric effects, etc.. etc. I do not think it would be the first choice for those who want a full-featured sound card have been desirable for professional work, but it's not me.
