Nice start, but it needs to come down in price, offer more features, and be less cumbersome if they are going to have a hit. Oh, also offer it through other retailers. I don't like to be tied down to buying it through Apple

Can you imagine a map that does not label local streets? This map labels only major highways and major roads. you won't be able to tell the approaching street from the map until the cradle announce it. The speaking voice is robotic. At times it uses uncommon street name and you really wish the street is labeled.
The GPS signal is not consistent. Sometime can't detect any signal. cradle is chunky, not matching Touch's sleek design. It is difficult to get Touch out of cradle. If you use GPS function, the cradle won't charge Touch. And Touch's battery gets used up very quickly in the GPS mode.

People completely miss the point when all they can see is the price tag. I own this product and the reason I purchased it is because I didn't want the hassle of carrying around with me another piece of tech equipment and it being at risk of getting lost or stolen ( A.K.A a dedicated GPS unit). Added to that if you take into account that the touch is an all in one convergence device to begin with covering everything from music, gaming, web browsing to video streaming (slingbox); adding GPS into the equation isn't an off the wall idea especially if you like to carry your GPS everywhere you go when you do venture out of the car. That's the convenience of this device. It picks up a Sat lock pretty quick, the directions have been pretty accurate so far, the built in speakers have been loud enough to hear over the car noise and the Aux out can play your entire ipod collection through your speaker system while giving directions. The bonus of it is that it has a battery backup to charge the touch when needed and the built in microphone can run skype for cheap phone calls. I've also purchased the Navigon European maps which I hope to try out soon while in the U.K. Okay, $200 is a lot for an accessory, but my philosophy is if it does its job, which it does, has other uses; battery backup, skype, useful outside of the car, and saves me from worrying about another tech item getting lost or stolen, $200 isn't the monster everyone is making it out to be.
