I have used this device in the past two years, and it has helped me in Korea and Garmin RINO 120 - GPS receiver / two-way radio price of Afghanistan. I had to return the device after a visit to Afghanistan, because that was the injury card, but Garmin support excellent. I recommend that anyone go in Harm's Way and in need of a combination radio and more importantly, GPS. With more people there in the peer-to-peer Garmin RINO 120 - GPS-receiver / two-way radio feature places the price of great help. Garmin is typical, and works well and is easy to use. Radio part is likely to go with Motorola FRS / GMRS line of work with this device. Good thing if you can not find Garmin accessories. Just use this instead of Motorola, will cost about the same, though. You get what you Garmin RINO 120 Pa - GPS receiver / two-way radio is price.
Rino 120 is state of the art GPS navigation and two-way communications combined with enough memory to detailed mapping for driving, hiking, hunting, fishing download - or just about anything you can think of. It is waterproof and can "beam" your exact location of another user Reno during the two-mile range (range FRS) with "on location". Radio functionality Rino 120 provides two-way communications for up to two miles (using FRS channels), and you can share with friends or family who speak their traditional radio FRS. There is also a voice scrambler and vibration mode for silent calls. Description: Channels: 22 (1-14 FRS, 15-22 GMRS); Squelch Codes: 38 Range: up to 2 miles on FRS channels, 5 miles on GMRS; Modes: Channel scan with programmable scan list, channel monitor; Call tones: 10 tones and ring tones, 4 Roger tonnes VOX: External Voice Activation with sensitivity selection; Other functions: alarm clock, calculator, calendar, clock, stopwatch, stopwatch and games.
