What more can I say? It is the best scanner I have ever used. I have gone through more than a few scanners and this one is the single best in EVERY respect of all the other scanners it like trying to compare a new top of the like Porsche to an old beat to hell Yugo.
HP's other "high volume" scanner the 8000 series I have had four of the 8420s and three of them failed for different reasons. The fourth hasn't only because it is hardly ever used. The four 7000s I have are all working great and I have two that run almost all the time. We are talking not just boxes for they are chewing through a whole file room with thousands of files and haven't failed. One had to have a cleaning but damn that is to be expected with that much paper. But the fact that they just don't jamb is GREAT. Every other scanner I have ever used has been very finicky about feeding the paper in and they would always jamb at least a few times in a day. But the 7000s don't. If you have something taped to a page you have to be sure that multi-pick is turned off under the more tab. But then you add in that it is way smaller than most scanners, lighter, faster, more durable AND doesn't jamb? You can't look at any other scanner. This is the one. All the rest are JUNK.
