This board has some futuristic (upgradable) features - 2 SATA ports, and 6 USB2.0 ports, and upgradability to 4GB of DDR RAM. The board has 2 USB connectors for front USB ports, and has 2 SATA ports, 2 IDE connectors, and a floppy connector. In the back, there is a serial port, a parallel port, PS/2 ports, gigabit ethernet, and 6 USB2.0 PORTS! The motherboard is said to be "designed for windows xp". It has 1 AGP video slot, and 5 PCI slots.
However, it would be nice if the board had integrated firewire, audio, and video. Of course, seperate AGP/PCI cards for video and audio usually do a better job, and don't use CPU and RAM resources, having their own.
The only other downsides are in drivers. To make networking and USB 2.0 support (otherwise acting as USB 1.1) work, you must install drivers from the included CD or intel's website.
Other than that, this is a great motherboard. I recommend it to people who are looking for a good Intel Pentium 4 motherboard with good upgradability, and future thinking features, such as 1000MBp Gigabit ethernet and many USB2.0 ports.
