Great recording quality from VHS, TV, MiniDV, Hi8, etc.
Mine works with the Sony DVD + R (1-8x) discs.
FireWire input! + R / RW, Super-easy menus, a high success rate, very good quality.
LiteOn LVW-5001 Great Price Menu Function for basic functions. Several source (s) entry for a car.

We had the unit for 18 months. Some of the difficulties LiteOn LVW-5001 the cost of software updates available online, but he did not seem to matter. Not sure if my unit is the same as those currently in the LVW-5001, but we really have no complaints. Not as versatile as some of the newer, but quite sufficient. Did a great job!
