I bought this primarily for my TIVOs to do transfers from TIVO to TIVO. Also to connect an upstairs computer to the network and a camera in the baby's room. All those devices were connected to the network via Wireless G adapters. The TIVOs could not be upgraded to Wireless N nor could the camera. In theory I could get a Wireless N card for the computer but when I saw this I said..what a perfect solution. My wireless connections were never stable in terms of speed. I would have spikes and dips. Often I would get 54 MPS which was great but then it would dip to 6 MPS which was no acceptable. Anyway...I order this Netgear product and plug it in a power outlet next to my wireless router. The green light comes on. Green across the board. Everything is great. I go upstaris plug another unit into a wall (i bought 4 all together) and it is all green...for about 60 seconds...then I get a flashing red in the center light. The speed is awul so I am back to wireless. Here comes Ebay.
