OK ... so I waited four months to go for it, drove 70 miles Palo Alto, put it on the BB, they had not heard on the shelf yet, so I took a chance and bought it. You can do it cheaper with Amazon BTW.
Set up quickly and "Tweats" (old school for me) are solid and well built. AV block itself is the form factor for small and I do not blingy, it fits perfectly went to the Tivo. In the south, it seems Philips HTS6500 oversized and the price is cheap compared to the tweeter (-). Nice communication, including attachments also for the tweeter.
I also went to the HDMI connection on my Sony LCD 32nd I checked my first iPod, have been sympathetic to the main entrance (at the back and nitpicky, but -). Depending on your MP3 settings, you must use the default settings of the sentence to find the right one for you.
Then came Metallica black .... the best price the most beautiful and richest of the Philips HTS6500. Not Bose or Denon 5.1, and hundreds less than amazing, I have no patience for the room or speakers and son everywhere, I'm out of it. Then I threw in the West Wing on DVD, the quality of the video test. 1080i is incredibly clear and bright.
I have no TV sound via HDMI, it remains to be seen. But since I'm more about quality of music and image quality of the block in question, I am very satisfied.
Of course, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and, as mentioned above, the biggest disappointment of the lack of LF / HF control (presets only) and poor in the remote, you need a fighter pilot to read the text. The amount of "bang" of the south, it should be less. Total 8 + (I can not quite rate 9) with a buy Philips HTS6500 surprisingly rich Soane at the best price with the next G-Unit, which is next to invisible.
