my 1st satellite radio, price of $19.99 swayed me to this unit. small size like a radar detector. works great in the pickup truck and i even mount it on the motorcycle. my biggest gripe is the presets do not save when the unit is powered off - are you sirius?!!

I recently just purchased this NEW SV1 from ebay for 17 bucks (that included shipping). Installation was super easy which was a huge plus.

I found that searching for an FM station to tune into was hard for me, so I purchased a cassette adapter and have the signal going through my tape deck. It sounds like CD quality if your car has a tape deck and I recommend installing it this way.

I was very surprised that the most inexpensive Sirius receiver has such great quality.

great way to get in to satellite radio...it does what it does, gives you quality sirius satellite in a small package for a small price...setup is quick and easy...only small issue is that you really have to use the remot to operate the unit, and you do have to run wires, but it's really a nonissue but i guess i just look forward to the day the antenna somehow works wirelessly (think bluetooth)- perhaps i'm dreaming...great purchase gave me exactly what i was looking for - great commercial free music and of course the king.

First, let me tell you I had XM hard-wired into my Pioneer deck for about 4 years. When Howard Stern announced he was switching over to Sirius, I immediately cancelled XM and prepaired for service. With my job, I am walking around for a good 6 hours a day, so I wanted something portable. I saw Sirius came out with a "portable" receiver, the s50. I looked at it, and I learned it didn't have a live feed! It doesn't even come with a docking station. So, basically, it is just a high-priced ($330!!) ipod. I relented and got the sirius one, which is a vehicle-only receiver.

I was replacing a higher end sirius radio and didn't want to spend too much. I found this radio at cc with a $20.00 instant rebate. Final cost $29.00. Works great and I don't miss a thing about my replay.
