Sling Media SlingLink Turbo Ethernet Bridge reviews

One of the very best purchases I've ever made, and It didn't cost a whole lot, lol.

I had tried range extenders, longer antenna's and what not to get a decent signal from my router on the main floor to the basement, in my theatre room. Nothing worked, until now.

I ran a cat cable downstairs some time ago but I wanted to be able to connect multiple sources, like my Slingbox and PS3.

This Slinglink not only solved my problem but it was so easy to connect, completely idiot proof.

I highly recommend this product.

I have three of them (one four port and two one port)hooked up in my house and they work great. The network has rarely gone down. I had tried powerline devices before and they were inconsistent at best. I also tried wireless, but couldn't get a strong enough signal consistently in my basement.

My problem in installing the Slinglink was that where my TV sits, I have only one wall outlet, and have 5 things to plug in, counting the Slinglink and Slingbox. I installed a grounded 6 outlet adapter to the wall outlet, and when I plugged everything in, no more internet. I did have internet though with 4 things plugged in, and lost it when I added the Slingbox. My temporary solution is to run an extension cord from a nearby outlet to the Slinglink. It now works great. My 7 rating is relevant only to my installation, if I were lucky enough to have two wall outlets behind my TV, I'd give the Slinglink a 10.

Sling Media SlingLink Turbo Ethernet Bridge specifications

If you're like most people, you don't have an Ethernet jack right next to your television - or a hot tub in the living room for that matter. And while having both would be splendid, the SlingLink can at least resolve one of those dilemmas. The SlingLink TURBO brings network connectivity to any electrical wall outlet, making it ideal for the modern living room. With four switched ports, it connects your Slingbox, game console, DVR, computer or anything with an Ethernet jack. And it's compatible with any home router. Just plug one SlingLink TURBO into the wall near your router, and plug in the other SlingLink TURBO wherever you have your Slingbox installed, and voila! You're connected to the Internet. However, if you're into that post-Apocalyptic look, with wires hanging throughout your house, or if you'd enjoy the company of an expensive technician sent to re-wire your home, then the SlingLink is probably not right for you.
