THIS PRODUCT DOESN'T HAVE A PAUSE MODE (A MUST). IT ALSO DOES NOT HAVE ANY RUBBER PADS ON BOTTOM, KEEPING IT FROM GETTING SCRATCHED. SURFACE IS PRONE TO EXTREME ABUSE MAINLY DUE TO TYPE OF PLASTIC. LOVE THE HINGED LOCK WHICH KEEPS IT WATER RESISTANT. DOESN'T HAVE A LIGHT UP TO READ DISPLAY AT NIGHT (THIS WOULD BE GOOD). GREAT SOUND, BASS BOOST, ABILITY TO STORE FAVORITE SONGS IN FAVORITE ORDER. IT'S VERTUALLY SKIP PROOF. I THOROUGHLY TESTED IT WHILE JOGGING. VERY SIMPLE AND EASY TO OPERATE. BUTTONS ARE MADE SO THEY ARE A BIT DIFFICULT TO PUSH AND CHANGE MODES (GOOD FOR RUNNING OR MOVING AROUND BUT BAD FOR PEOPLE WITH LARGE FINGERS). I DIDN'T LIKE THE SMALL HEADPHONES THAT CAME WITH IT. THEY WERE A LITTLE ON THE FLIMSEY SIDE.

i love the new sony cd player, it one of the most stylish cd players on the market. Now i know what you're thinking that sony is overrated but if you're skeptical about this cd player dont ber buy it. The sound quality is awesome (i couldn't believe how little distortion i recieved on the included lightweight headphones). The engineering on this is excellent. Changing tracks, stopping the tracks and playing the cd and volume control are all at the movement of the thumb. You go girl!!

Expensive product but worth it for someone that exercises or likes to putter around while headphoned. The anti-skip works perfectly and is a marvel to me. Kudos to the Sony engineers. Headphones are flimsy but lightweight. I have not had trouble with them. Sturdy construction for outside use. I like the buttons and knobs but I keep it in a fanny or back pack while wearing so the volume is not jostled. A remote control would be handy for backpack wear. A negative for me, middle aged woman, is that the display is only readable in good light at just the right angle. It is not readable in low light. I'm at about 30 hours on this set of AA batteries and they're still strong. It's very impressive. I don't miss the pause because of the resume feature but I can see where it might be a little nicer than stop/start. What a great product! I see it now going on sale - our local W-mart has it for $60. If it gets to $50, it's a great buy. I paid $80 at circuit city.

I was thinking to buy IRiver SlimX, but couldn't cos of hight price. I found this in lower price and the best design in market. And above all the 50hours battery life that makes this product compel to buy. I will still miss MP3 and FM radio features in it.
