Sony HT-CT350 reviews

I originally bought the Samsung HW-C450 system. The wireless subwoofer was beyond awful and the system looked cheap. This is a FAR better system (has great HDMI connectivity) and was only a little bit more expensive.
I also considered a Yamaha sound projector but decided against it because they are really bulky and don't go well with my super thin television. I mounted this Sony bar directly under my 60" LG Plasma and it looks awesome.

I would recommend trying to find this system for around $350 as I believe that's what it's worth.

I bought this after reading online reviews on a decent sound bar with hdmi ports and 3D compatibility. For the price (~$300) its a great sound system especially if you have a Sony tv. The reason i say this is that with the bravia sync technology you dont have to place the subwoofer (with the remote rf) directly inline where you are sitting. (although you will have to read the manual and not get frustrated, it will work) The tv will pick up the signal and direct it to the volume control on the subwoofer. I didnt complete the sync when i hooked it all up and was bit dissapointed but the next day once the sync was done, it is awesome!!! It puts out serious sound esp if you have HD channels. Ofcourse it cannot compete against my Onkyo 7.1 THX 9300 in my media room but again, for the price and wattage you get, you cannot go wrong.

Profound simplicity; Elegance in design; State of the art technology; It did exactly what it was designed to do. It created much improved sound quality compared to our 60 inch built-in Bravia speakers. We, also, have M&K speakers ($12,000) in our home theater with a 185" screen, so we know great sound. But, nevertheless, our little Sony system is truly great engineering for so little money.

Wanting better sound while watching TV, but wanting to avoid running wires for rear channel 5.1 system, I opted for a sound bar. The Sony offered the features I was looking for with a price that was pretty decent. It doesn't match the sound experience you can get from a 5.1 or 7.1 system, but it works well in my relatively small space. The sound quality is much better than what my TV produces. The wires included that run from the subwoofer to the bar are somewhat short and they're Sony-specific, so check to see if the length is suitable for your needs before purchasing. Other than that, I am pretty happy with my purchase.

Overall, this is a good buy for your money. This unit will NEVER deliver the detailed sounds produced by high-end 5.1, 7.1 systems. If you are realistic and can accept that, then you should be satisfied with this unit. I purchased this unit on ebay for $340 from a top seller. Had I purchased it at the local Bestbuy, I probably would have taken it back and continued to explore my options. (However, I didn't feel like putting out the $55 it would take me to return it - so think about that when buying on ebay). Movies / TV sounds good. Music / ipod play on this unit sounds very good.

In a nut shell, if you don't have the money to buy the Bose or any other of the high-end sound systems, this unit will get it done for roughly $350. Buy it without hesitation. It's a very good buy.

Mine is set up with a Samsung LCD TV and set up took less than 10 minutes. Comes with one optical audio cable. Us this system for a small room, or when your close to the TV, not a complete surround sound, but great for what its designed for.

The sound coming from this sound bar is leagues better than any flat-screen TV speaker can throw out. The Powered subwoofer is nice, with many input-output ports. I have it hooked up to Apple's Airport Express to stream my music over wi-fi...and it sounds great in my living room. Over all, a VERY GOOD DEAL for a speaker system that costs under $500.
