I haven't tried any other MP3 players, so I can't compare sound and such, but it seems fine. The menus and buttons on the device are not great but not terrible. The file transfer software works on my home PC but not my office PC, and it's pretty klunky. Non-standard USB connection. Support web site is terrible. You can't even tell if the PC software available for download is the same version as the one you already have.
