A nice, powerful, little tablet. Its pros are the same as all the other reviews here (HDMI, USB, Battery, ect), but none really mention that this tablet isn't finnished. Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) doesn't natively support USB peripherals. As such, there aren't drivers for anything that runs on Android OS. However, Toshiba created software that can manage flash drives, but only formatted with FAT. The SD card slot works fine when used with the file transfer software. Playback is fast enough to watch a movie from it. Another drawback of the ports is that there is no program to adjust the size of the external screen when connected to HDMI. The Thrive has a narrow screen when held in portrait orientation. This leaves you with a mirror image of the display but with cut of edges on all sides, not just the sides that need to be to make the screen fit. Yet another drawback is that the Mini-USB is a Mini-USB, not Micro, which is the one that is becoming the standard. If you can handle a few minor setbacks that can be fixed in future updates, and want an abundance of ports, the Toshiba Tablet is the one for you.
