if you want a phone that will last this is the one 5.8 or 6.0 you will make a great investment. This is the best cordless phone system that I have encountered .My old one stop working I had it for 6 years.

This is the best cordless phone system that I have encountered. Battery life is fantastic (we don't charge the phones until the battery is low - makes the Ni-MH batteries last 5x as long), the phone is always clear and nothing to date has interfered with the signal (unlike most 2.4Ghz systems in my condo where there is a proliferation of WiFi). We are going to buy two more handsets - one regular and one waterproof (to take out on the deck). Only problem is my wife leaving the handsets in random places so when the phone rings, I can't find one of the two. Hopefully having 2 more will solve that problem.
