We live in a two story, 2,200 sqft house. I originally purchased this product to get a solid connection in a downstairs bedroom that we decided to turn into an office. It worked so well I thought I could solve a few other problems around the house if i bought another set of boxes. I sent an email to Western Digital and asked if multiple boxes would work together on the same connection. The answer was yes so I bought another set. Now I have 1 box hooked up to the router and the other three boxes spread out around the house. All the desk top PCs (2), Xbox 360s (2) and internet ready TVs (2) are connected via these wired bridges. It works great. Internet TV, steaming HD content to the 360s and watching HD Netflix has never worked better. Trying to get a WIFI connection to feed all these devices at once was a nightmare. Now we only use WIFI for the two laptops.

It's not ready for the consumer market. Hardware looks great. But, the software is abysmal. Vista laptop used to be able to see the devices; however, that didn't last long.

Is my network secure? Is it compromised? Who knows... the LiveWire utility isn't telling.

What's the latest firmware rev? Am I up to date? Who knows... the WDC website doesn't give a firmware rev history.

Are you running only Linux? Uh oh... no LiveWire utility for you!

Wait for WDC to go back and finish up the non-hardware end of this. It'll look pretty good when they are done.

If the software were any good I'd give it 5 stars in terms of results. I have both my media player and blu-ray player hocked up about 500 feet away from my wireless router so it was really hard to get quality video. I got these units and all streaming issues were GONE! 4 port design is really awesome.

I purchased the WD Live TV+ a few months back and was having some trouble maintaining a decent stream via wireless for the network TV shows on HULU and PLAYON. After doing some research I landed on trying these boxes out since running cable wasn't really an option.
Wow, all I can say is this has been one of the best tech products I've ever bought. First off, set up couldn't have been simpler. You plug the power and ethernet cables into each box. Then, connect one box to your router and the other to the device you're trying to get online. Press the sync button and behold the magic. What could be simpler?
Now I've been able to run PLAYON and HULU network broadcasts without the slightest hiccup or hesitation in play back. I haven't had a chance yet to try streaming movies over my network but, everything I've read indicates it should not be an issue,
Conclusion: If you're thinking of getting this to solve difficult wireless connection issues, don't hesitate and give it try. I'm actually thinking of getting an additional box to connect my wireless desktop that's upstairs. It currently runs wirelessly great but, these boxes are so much faster and reliable.
Great product WD
